GLACIER BREWHOUSE, ANCHORAGE ALASKA

Walking around downtown Anchorage is thirsty work, so we stopped in to this brewhouse and what a good find!

The interior is cozy and inviting and you can smell the good food that awaits as soon as you walk in. Booths are comfy and large … and we had a good view of the rest of the restaurant. In the centre is a large stone fireplace that sets the mood for the entire area.

Service was prompt and there was a lot of good options for lunches or snacks. Of course the beer the restaurant is named for was a must have – and was it good! We tried the Amber, but they all sounded tasty … wish we were there longer so we could have tried more varities!

Neither Bruce or I are big eaters, so we chose to share one of their offered pizzas – the Double Meat/Mushroom was our choice. It’s about a 10 inch ‘za and loaded with the advertised meat & ‘shrooms. The crust was thin and tasty with just enough cheese and sauce to hold it all together. My only comment is that it WAS a bit greasy, but then it did have 2 meats on top.
