We’ve stayed here before although it was not in high season. Even then we felt like it was crowded … but nothing like during the major tourist season … you’re packed in like sardines!
The reason they can pack you in so close and still charge the big bucks ($44/night for 15 amp full service/$46/night for 30 amp full service) is that they’re right in town. You can walk to everything in 5 – 10 minutes! So … you pay for the convenience.
It’s clean, has a laundry, showers, restrooms and a small gift shop. There is free wi-fi which works pretty good but only for e-mails, banking etc. Anything more and you can head to the Tourist Info Centre or the library.
You do get a picnic table at each site … but you’re so jammed in that it’s really difficult if not impossible to use them … or to want to use them.
It can get a bit loud at night as the one side of the RV park is bordering a road with some sketchy homes on the other side. Parties can go on until the wee hours – and then comes the inevitable arguments … LOUD arguments! If you do stay here … try to get on the right side of the park … not the one backing onto the street.
