June 7, 2011…A quick overnight on the Columbia River Gorge then home!

We left Deer Lodge in the morning, staying on Interstate 90, heading into Washington. We made it as far as the Columbia River Gorge where we camped for the night at Wanapum State Park Campground right on the river near where the highway crosses the gorge. While it was a beautiful, warm sunny day, the wind was just howling down the gorge, at times creating spectacular vapour wisps on the water!

June 8, 2011… our last day

We drove straight from the Columbia River Gorge, through Seattle and up to the border in Blane, WA where we got through customs on both sides with the RV in less than an hour! We were prepared to be there a good part of the day! I have to say, it couldn’t have been easier, but we were well prepared with all of our paperwork completed and in hand. All that was left to do was complete the drive to the BC Ferries terminal at Tswassen for the ride home to Vancouver Island.
