I was expecting a small, kid’s playground with a few gift shops etc. What I found was a very well-done and interesting park. Lots of things for kids AND adults, with playgrounds, mini-golf, ferris wheel and a small train that takes you around the park … as well as museums, shops, historical buildings with films and an old stern paddle wheeler.

The park itself is free and the extra attractions such as train & museums have nominal fees ($2 for the train and $4 for the museums).

Interesting heritage buildings in Pioneer Park
There is snacks, ice cream & drinks to be found all in a relaxing atmosphere. Well worth a stop for an hour … or a couple of hours.
Lots of parking for cars/rv’s.
