Upgrading the Shower Door on Our 5th Wheel
Linda has never been happy with the sliding glass doors that came with the shower in our 5th wheel. They are hard to clean, with glass, tracks and rollers, and they take up a lot of space. So one day I happened to see an ad for for the Nautilus Retractable shower door while online and decided to check them out.
The Nautilus Retractable Shower Door is made with an anti-microbial screen material, which prevents mold and mildew. The screen rolls up into a compact cassette attached to the wall and what’s more, there is an integrated squeegee that removes water and soap from the screen as it rolls up. The whole shower system is ultra-lightweight, customizable, easy-to-install and is self-cleaning! It comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
One of the big things we like is how much more open our bathroom, so much brighter and it maximizes access to the shower. The frames come in a number of different powder coated finishes as well as a round or square frame depending on your preference or decor.
Installation is dead easy, just follow the instructions. You will have to make couple of cuts to the top and bottom aluminum extrusions, but a hack-saw will do the trick. The biggest part of the job turned out be cleaning the old caulking off the shower stall. A good tool for that job is an oscillating saw with a scraper blade.
Highly recommended!!
